Amid a row in India over Sanatana Dharma remarks by Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leader Udhayanidhi Stalin and Congress's Priyank Kharge, a city in the United States has declared September 3 as Sanatana Dharma Day.

The official proclamation was read by deputy mayor Barbara Sexton Smith on behalf of Mayor Craig Greenberg during the Maha Kumbha Abhishekam celebration at the Hindu Temple of Kentucky in Louisville.
ROW OVER SANATANA DHARMA
A FIR was enlisted in Rampur against DMK pioneer Udhayanidhi Stalin and Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge's child Priyank Kharge for supposedly offending strict sentiments.
Stalin was reserved for his call to destroy Sanatana Dharma and Kharge for sponsorship his comment, they said.
Stalin had on Saturday, during an occasion in Tamil Nadu, contrasted the Sanatana Dharma and sicknesses like dengue and jungle fever.
Priyank Kharge supported Stalin’s remark saying “any religion that does not promote equality and does not ensure that you have the dignity of being a human is not a religion, according to me”.
